RACE BIBS
Bibs need to go on the front of the body, preferably visible at the finish. Lower chest is ideal. Thigh is acceptable, but the bib should be pinned horizontally on the leg.
MEDICAL SUPPORT
Medical support is being provided by Meghan Sarna Hulderman, FNP of Northern Roots Wellness. The medical tent is located near the finish line. If you encounter an injured racer, stop and ask if help is needed. If so, call the Vasa Medical Hotline at 231-463-9208. If you don’t have a phone or signal, then notify an aid station volunteer. They will need to know the racer bib number and location. If you become injured, call the above medical hotline, which is printed on each race bib.
SKIER AID STATIONS
There will be aid stations on the 15K classic and freestyle ski races and the 27K freestyle ski race. All other races are self-supported. Aid stations are located as indicated on the race maps. Aid stations will provide Heed High Energy Electrolyte Drink and Hammer Gels, bananas, water, and limited skier support items.
CONCESSION
Your race bib or volunteer hat will allow you access to post-race food in the Banquet Hall. Spectators may purchase food from the Chubby Unicorn Food Truck located just outside the Banquet Hall. Short’s Brewing and The Long Drink beverages will be available for purchase at $5 per can for those with proper identification.
CHANGING AREAS & BAG DROP
The bag drop is located in the Event Hall at Timber Ridge (next to the main Lodge). Racers can pick up two tags at registration to write their bib number on. One tag is for your post-race clothing bag to be checked in at the bag drop. The second tag is for your bag of warm-ups that you may leave at the start just prior to your race. These bags will be taken to the bag drop pickup area where you can claim both bags after your race. Bag pickup is available outside the Banquet Hall under the awning. Changing areas are tight. We recommend you change in your vehicle.
